TSQ-IV: CONCHA CARDEÑOSO

Cuarto episodio. El príncipe y la princesa

En ese país vivía una princesa encantadora y muy inteligente, que había leído todos los libros del mundo y, sabiamente, lo había olvidado todo después.
Luego pensó en escoger un marido que supiera responder a sus preguntas, pero todos los pretendientes se quedaban sin habla en cuanto la veían.
Por fin, un día, apareció un alegre muchacho de largos y hermosos cabellos, aunque vestido humildemente.
El caso es que respondió tan bien a todas las preguntas que la princesa se casó con él.
...hasta un hermoso palacio, ...al príncipe, ... Sin embargo, el príncipe y la princesa escucharon la larga historia y, al día siguiente, regalaron ropa de seda y terciopelo y una hermosa carroza para que prosiguiera el viaje...

EN ESE PAÍS VIVÍA UNA PRINCESA ENCANTADORA Y MUY LISTA, QUE HABÍA LEÍDO TODOS LOS LIBROS DEL MUNDO Y, SABIAMENTE, LO HABÍA OLVIDADO TODO DESPUÉS. LUEGO PENSÓ EN ESCOGER UN MARIDO QUE SUPIERA RESPONDER A SUS PREGUNTAS, PERO TODOS LOS PRETENDIENTES SE QUEDABAN SIN HABLA EN CUANTO LA VEÍAN.

POR FIN, UN DÍA, APARECIÓ UN ALEGRE MUCHACHO DE LARGOS CABELLOS, AUNQUE VESTIDO HUMILDEMENTE.

EL CASO ES QUE RESPONDIÓ TAN BIEN A TODAS LAS PREGUNTAS QUE LA PRINCESA SE CASÓ CON ÉL.

---HASTA UN HERMOSO PALACIO, ... AL PRÍNCIPE, [···] SIN EMBARGO, EL PRÍNCIPE Y LA PRINCESA ESCUCHARON LA LARGA HISTORIA Y, AL DÍA SIGUIENTE, REGALARON ROPA DE SEDA Y TERCIOPELO Y UNA HERMOSA CARROZA PARA QUE PROSIGUIERA EL VIAJE...

(No mention of the honeymoon in the end).

Hinz und Kunz (vollständig: Heinrich und Konrad) ist eine deutsche Redewendung und Synonym für Jedermann. Als weibliches Gegenstück (Jederfrau) wird manchmal Krethi und Plethi (Krethi als Abwandlung von Greti = Margarete) verwendet, was allerdings andere Ursprünge hat. Eine geschlechtsneutrale Variante (Jedermensch) ist Hans und Grete. In der Seefahrt ist die Bezeichnung Janmaat üblich.

Im Hochmittelalter, konkret vom 11. bis 13. Jahrhundert, waren Heinrich (Kurzform: Hinz) und Konrad (Kurzform: Kunz) die Namen zahlreicher deutscher Herrscher, nach denen in Folge auch die einfache Bevölkerung ihre Kinder benannte. Ein großer Teil der Männer trug daher diese Namen und es kam zu einer Inflation, aus der sich letztlich die heute noch gebräuchliche Redewendung bildete. Der Begriff ist seit dem 13. Jahrhundert belegt,und etwa ab dem 15. Jahrhundert als Spottbezeichnung gebräuchlich und findet unter anderem im Märchen Rumpelstilzchen und in der Novelle Michael Kohlhaas von Heinrich von Kleist Verwendung.

CRYSTAL QUEEN PROJECT VI - THE FLOWER CHILDREN

Keeping up with my character week on The Crystal Queen, this time we focus on the commune and three flower children in particular: Primrose, Rainbow, and Anahata.

CRYSTAL QUEEN PROJECT V - GERDA AND KAI

So now it's time to meet the inspiration for the characters! I will discuss them according to their corresponding Story, in chronological order, during the course of this week, thus during this order:

Monday the 5th - Gerda and Kai
Tuesday the 6th - Flower Children
Wednesday the 7th - Tennis Players
Thursday the 8th - Asha and her Thugs
Friday the 9th - Crystal Queen
Weekend - Spear Carriers (chorus/backup roles)

So now we focus on Gerda and Kai --Gerda Blom and Kai Källström, briefly known as Cora and Sky until this project rebooted.

Both of them are university students in their late teens, blond (she is strawberry blonde, he is ashy blond) intellectuals dressed in black tennis shoes --his attire is more bohemian and hers is tomboyish/sporty-- Gerda's eyes are green, while Kai's are steel-gray with an icy blue glimmer. She is a petite girl, while he is a stripling of a young man... both of them charming in a special way.
Both Gerda and Kai like classic literature like Shakespeare and Voltaire, and other manifestations of high culture. Childhood friends since both of them are only children and have always been classmates with a nerdy streak, they have always grown up as thick as thieves. While he is reserved and shy and thoughtful, she is outspoken and impulsive and so honest that she is blunt.
Recently, they have become aware of their feelings for one another; but he is too awkward to confess to her. The invite to the Manoir des Miroirs, the new in nightclub on campus, changes it all when the drug he has absorbed saps him of all his feelings and clouds his thoughts...
Now it's Gerda's turn to save her friend's life; this proves a quest with many twists and turns, harder than she had expected... but she's got the determination and the hot blood (as hot as the surface of the Sun) she needs to warm his heart and restore him to the light!
