ONCE UPON 24 TIMES... STORY III

Story the Third
Five of Pentacles -
GOLDILOCKS
The bedsheets perfectly spread on the bed,
after a nighttime of tossing,
without even a single wrinkle,
then the eiderdown cover fluffed and spread out
and smoothed equally gently,
the pillow in a perfect straight horizontal line
right above the cover,
my stuffed seal Sälma warmly tucked in,
A quarter liter of milk
a quarter liter of Special K flakes,
the Golden Snitch mug (SHE'S A CATCH) of green tea
at 24 degrees Celsius above zero
with a single hemispherical ice cube,
the fly on the jeans zipped up to the top
the belt buckle right in the middle
the polo collar neatly folded outwards on both sides
and buttoned up to the throat,
the printed-out assignment without even a wrinkle
--it has been quadruple-checked--
the shoelaces tied up twice
--both the left and the right--,
a few stretches and jumping jacks
before I put on the rucksack
strapped on both shoulders...
nothing left to chance
everything just right...
at least until the afternoon
with friends and mead and maybe some Jäger;
after all, it's Friday at the end of the day!

ANNOTATIONS:
Nothing to tell except that this describes, more or less, my own morning routine in real life.
