An Alternate Universe with the title A Song of Thirty Years. The intrigues of Westeros parallelled in real life by the actions of the nations and their leaders that fought in the real-life seventeenth-century game of thrones.
Featuring an OC for Friedland (As you read!), Stella Invita (she looks like a female Roderich, and acts like Margaery Tyrell in the TV series).

The year is 1618, the Kaiser is dead... Long live the Kaiser!
As a result, all hell breaks loose when the new ruler decides to purge the realm of Protestant heretics.
However, Roderich Edelstein soon grows weary of having merely to play and compose sacred music.
Francis Bonnefoy aids his liege lord, le Cardinal, in finding a way to counteract the influence of the Habsburgs.
On the Polish front, Gustavus Adolphus grows fond of his right hand's brother, Berwald Oxenstierna, much to Tino Väinamöinen's chagrin.
Elizaveta Héderváry, after the fall of her cause, thought all was lost until Gustavus recruited her, and she was overcome by the Swedish ruler's charm...
As Albrecht von Wallenstein and Stella Invita find a niche at the Austrian court and set their sights on the imperial crown... Wallenstein is soon the Kaiser's confidant and commander-in-chief, yet sharing leadership with Jean 't Serclaes de Tilly, when they actually find each other insufferable.


This 'verse will also serve as origin story for many of the characters' enmities, rivalries, and relationships. Most prominently, one of the strands is going to be the rise of the relationship between Roderich and Elizaveta...
