In the first timeline of the film Click, son character Ben Newman (Jake Hoffman) has, as a young adult, a good, healthy life, a nice, kind, not-prone-to-jealousy health nut swimming coach stepfather Bill (Sean Astin) who helped him get healthy, a nice, pretty young wife Julie (Jana Kramer) and Dolores O'Riordan (Herself) singing Linger at their wedding, a honeymoon in Italy, good looks as the cherry on top...
Then Morty/Death (Christopher Walken) comes along and resets the timeline. I prefer Ben's first character arc over the second one we get. Maybe he evolves into a fat loser anyway after the ending... If his parents don't divorce and his mum doesn't remarry Bill, that is! Then his life would improve...
