My Own Review
THINGS FALL APART, THE CENTRE CANNOT HOLD...
After taking a break for the new year, Hugtto! returns. Episode 46 is the beginning of the end; this season only has a few episodes left to go.
First things first, we start with a dream that both Hana and Mr. Kurai appear in. We’ll be seeing George Kurai a lot more in these final episodes, and he is kind of unsettling.
At the start of the episode, Hana was having a dream of her wearing a wedding gown and seeing a gallery of pictures of people who inspired others. However George appeared in her dream and claimed that their efforts are in vain as people grow to be selfish and untrustworthy.
Both Hana and Mr. Kurai wake up crying after their shared dream.
Everyone gets together to celebrate the new year, which means that the girls get to wear some rather nice-looking winter kimonos. Hana is also looking forward to a whole host of upcoming events during the year. When she mentions Valentine’s, that is accompanied with Harry imagining giving chocolates to Homare. Lulu is looking forward to eating more food.
The girls were having their celebration for the New Year from playing games to eating sweets made by Hana's grandmother. Even Papple and company joined in the festivals.
Hug-tan is looking forwards to spinning tops
Saaya is looking forwards to... gargle-blaster hot sauce? Now that's badass. So apparently Saaya loves spicy stuff!
And of course our OTP are looking forwards to all the om noms. Just look at Lulu's starry eyes and Emiru's delighted smile!
The defectors have put up a moon cake stand! Charalit is left to do the pounding (scrawny does NOT equal puny), Papple kneads rice pasta in the mortar... and what part does Daigan play?
Following that, the Nono family and most of the former Criasu employees get together to share a meal.
Dr. Traum Trauma has an Awkward Papa moment
Dr. Trauma was invited to join them all for the occasion and he went all daddy love on Lulu which embarrassed her.
However, there’s a lack of soy sauce so Hana volunteers to go out and pick up some more. Lulu asks if she should go along as well, but Hana insists that it is fine.
When Hana rushes into a lift just as it is closing, she is met with an unexpected sight. Standing before her in that elevator is George Kurai, who is holding a bunch of mimosa flowers.
Since they are alone, George tells Hana that it was not him that froze the time of the people of the future; instead, they brought that upon themselves.
Later, Hana was in the same lift with George and he offered a bouquet of craspedias (I thought they were mimosas - facepalms) which he claimed it means eternal happiness. (It is more to good health according to some sources) Hana rejected his bouquet and he started preaching of how humans have become selfish as a result of civilization advances and cause civilization to collapse.
Mr. Kurai tries to make Hana give in to despair, but she only has one answer for him.

Whilst that happens, Lulu asks Traum about George Kurai. Traum says that he is in the way of their path to happiness; or perhaps, more accurately, PreCures are in the way of his path to happiness. Mr. Kurai is a man who does nothing; simply observes.

So an adult Hana will be George's significant other (does NOT have to be Mrs. Kurai outright)?
George even claimed he froze time so that no one including the Precures from the future will not suffer any more pain. Hana tried to argue back saying that there is still hope for humanity after they managed to save people from their pain. But George insisted that it is futile and want Hana to remember how her peers humiliated her in her former school.
But Hana stood up and announced that she believes in her friends (nakama) and the future before Saaya and Homare came to her aid. George retreated and decided to go all out immediately!
Mr. Kurai tries to get Hana to go with him, but she refuses. Hana is a PreCure, after all, and she will be the one to protect the future. The lift doors open and Saaya and Homare join them, but Kurai retreats for now. Stage left, as usual.
After Hana’s encounter, the girls decide that they should sleep over at her place. Little do they know, they have a very big day ahead of them.
One-Winged Georgel
Lots of toge-power perspiring out of the leader himself...
The following day, Criasu’s tower just appears out of nowhere, and time is stopped for everyone besides PreCures and Criasu defectors (basically, all muggles).
George makes the Crisis Tower land near the beach and fired a beam at the town causing everyone to freeze in time. The Cures, who are not affected by the time freeze, immediately went into battle to stop George and his hordes of theenders!
The Nonos, sans Hana, are frozen in place
They rush to the tower where Kurai awaits them. He brings out a small army of Wild Theender mooks, so PreCures transform.
There is an almost limitless supply of toge power in the air, so PreCures have a tough old fight to get through.
Wait... does this mean Hana Nono is Mrs. Hana Kurai from the past? And George is some brooding widower time-travelling to hit on his Lost Lenore... while she is a single adolescent?
The girls fought hard with the aid of the Future Pad and managed to clear a large number of theenders.
PreCures may be outnumbered, but they too have an almost limitless supply of energy to call on: asu power. They are able to purify the Wild Theender mooks, but that is not the end of the battle.
One-Winged Georgel resurfaces...
Criasu’s tower transforms into a giant humanoid, which grabs Hugtan. Despite her best efforts, Cure Yell is unable to save Hugtan.
No... HUGTAN!!
George turned the Criasu Tower building into the Giant Shadowy Humanoid figure from the early episodes and captured Hug-tan.
Cure Yell tried to save her but was knocked back down and the girls were confronted by Ristle, Bishin and a new horde of reinforcement theenders...
Mr. Kurai makes a retreat, and the episode ends with Ristle and Bishin arriving on the battlefield.
So here we have it: the beginning of the end. Hopefully we get a final battle like the one seen in Splash Star – to this very day, that one still remains my favourite in the entire PreCure franchise.
Hana sure does look like that person we’ve seen in George Kurai’s flashbacks… presumably that’s where the connection ends, though.

The new year stuff was nice; the girls looked great in their kimonos. It was also nice seeing a lot of familiar faces again, even if most of them did end up frozen in time.
For someone who supposedly does nothing, Mr. Kurai certainly seems to be getting involved in the fate of the world quite heavily. Perhaps all that observing and not being able to do anything is what drove him to actively interfere.
This episode was a lead in to the final battle, but it was still decent enough. I can only imagine that things will pick up...
So we are finally at the endgame as George's motives is slightly revealed. It looked like George lost someone very dear to him (Which everyone is probably speculating it is an adult Hana) and his idea of freezing time so that Adult Hana will not be taken away is probably out of desperation, clinging to the Lost Lenore. But it probably drove him mad that he blamed the whole world for his pain. Even Dr Trauma mentioned to Lulu that George's ideals are a mystery and no one really knew what he is thinking.
George was further disgusted by how humans behave like savages and loathed at humanity's self-destruction claiming they deserve it. But of course Hana being the optimistic and positive girl she is, does not believe that all humans are bad and people and the future can changed.

But that didn't stop George and he went all out freezing the townspeople and the girls have no choice but to battle him and his horde of theenders. With Hug-tan captured by him, can the girls save her and stop George's plan?
THIS EPISODE. THIS EPISODE MAN, I AM SCREAMING.Three episodes left, and Hugtto just reeled me right back in!
It was revealed today George’s existence initially started off as this “observer”, who oversees the action of Humanity (not unlike the Watcher angels), and witnessed them drive themselves to their own demise. Supposedly, it’s the people who brought time to a stop, and that’s why George believes the Precures’ struggles of protecting everyone’s hopes and dreams of tomorrow are meaningless. As result, he decided to embark on this quest to “save” everyone from driving themselves into ruins, by stopping time when they are at their happiest. This is his idea of an era of “eternal happiness”, and one of the reason he is doing this, is for the one he loves.
And that woman he loves and is currently fighting for, just may happen to be Hana, in the distant future.
Just take a moment to let that sink in.
When they first dropped the reveal, I was stunned to the point my brain couldn’t process it. My initial reaction was: “WHAT THE !@#&! JUST HAPPENED?! GEORGE AND HANA?!?!?!?!?!!? ARE YOU OH MY FREAKING GOD ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW?! SHIT!” and I actually had to rewatch some scenes multiple times to make sure I was seeing things right.
If George really is Hana’s future lover, it would kind of explain why he was always approaching her, how she always seem to have his undivided attention, and it would explain why he looked so upset when she smacked the flowers right out of his hands. I mean, if that isn’t a man with a broken heart, I don’t know what is. Furthermore the two of them sharing a dream together with Hana in a wedding dress of all things, and George reaching out in tears to caress her because he wants to preserve her happiness.—my brain, this is insane. As you can see, I am still struggling to wrap my head around this.
But I have to be honest with you guys, I am kind of at loss of what to think about this. First of all, this is my greatest weakness, I am sucker for these kinds of tropes, so if you’re going to reel me back in, this is the way to do it. Second, this is EXACTLY the kind of drama and excitement this series has been lacking, and I AM LOVING IT! The only thing that could have made this even better, was if they spent a bit more time building this part of the story up. Yes, there were hints everywhere, but I still feel they could have done a bit more to flesh it out. We’ll see how they do with the remaining episodes, and I don’t know about you, but I am already prepared for the waterworks because here’s a depressing possibility: The future Hana is so excited for, is one where she dies young, and that’s why George is fighting so hard to preserve her current happiness.
On the flip-side of my excitement, I can’t help but feel conflicted. I mean, regardless of the fact the two of them may have been or are supposed to be in a relationship in the far off future, seeing George, a grown-up man, approach Hana who is currently a thirteen-year-old girl seriously creeps me out. I might have been able to stomach it better if Hana were at least 16 or 18 (not that it’s much better), but GAH, it is incredibly difficult to overlook it. I mean, couldn’t they have at least in the dream, made Hana have a glimpse of her grown-up self or something? It would have made it a lot less awkward and become a scene full of feels.
Thankfully, at the very least, although Hana had a small crush on George (until he crushed her hopes and dreams of the future), she is acting out in the manner you would expect: Justifiably creeped out and is actively trying to keep her distance from him because she sees him as an enemy.
And it is a shame there is such a huge age discrepancy at the moment. Obviously it makes sense for this to happen, but still…. There is a huge potential for some serious heartbreaking romance where you have a pair who are supposed to be lovers in the future be split on the ideas of how to deal with what the future holds. But given the circumstances and how significant the characters’ age-gap are, it really does water down the impact this event could have potentially had.
Regardless, I am still very much interested to see what they will make out of this, and how Hana of all people will react when the truth comes out.
Speaking of Hana, I feel like she has been sitting on the back-burner for quite some time now. Finally it’s her moment to shine again, and goodness is she delivering. Hana has matured a lot from where she has begun in the beginning of the series, and one of my favourite parts about her development had to be her ever-growing resolve to fight for the future. And that’s really how Hana makes her scenes so impactful. Now that we know and have a better understanding of the special connection she and George share with each other, I am excited to see how this fight will unfold. This episode was epic, and it despite having mixed opinions about the development, I am very excited for this final battle!
Shit, I think this is the first time I’m really hyped for the next episode in this series. Actually, never thought I would say it, but this episode makes me actually want to rewatch this from the very beginning!
Quite a simple introduction for the forty-seventh episode of Hugtto!: the final battle continues. Let’s just jump right in.
Quite a simple introduction for the forty-seventh episode of Hugtto!: the final battle continues. Let’s just jump right in.
The episode picks up directly from where the previous one left off, with Ristle and Bishin arriving on the battlefield. Ristle calls forth an army of Wild Theenders, and despite Cure Ange’s attempts at holding them back, they prove to be overwhelming.
Oui, Étoile vs. Bishin! I was really looking forwards for these two counterparts to come face to face once more...
Big Dang Defectors!! (Doesn't that sound like a rad name for a group?)
Bishin began attacking the girls as Ristle summoned more reinforcements to the field. The girls were outnumbered when suddenly Papple, Charalit, and Daigan appeared to aid them in their battle.
Fortunately for PreCures, not everyone has been affected by the time stop. Papple, Daigan, and Charalit join the battle, and are able to purify the Wild Theenders with their own abilties; pretty impressive, if you ask me.
Why doesn't Papple use more of her death ray from the sky more often?
We saw him pounding rice before - but now confirmed - Charalit is remarkably physically strong! I wonder who would win if he ever met the knockabout artiste Weathers and they had a little arm-wrestling match over their whiskey and Apollinaris!
Daigan doesn't lag behind either!
Neither does Dr. Traum at the helm of the Traumazord!
Even Dr Trauma appeared in a robot suit of himself and told Bishin that if you believe in Hope and Tomorrow, Unconditional Love (Ai) will follow suit.
Dr. Traum joins the battle as well, arriving in a giant robot. The number of Wild Theenders is quickly reduced, leaving only Ristle and Bishin to deal with. The person who steps up to confront those two is none other than Harry himself.
A young Dr. Trauma and the flesh-and-blood daughter he had once before losing her and making Amour! And she's the most adaaaaawwwrrrable little blonde, right?
And with his appearance on the stage, the Big Dang Defectors turn from trio to quartet! The four former employees managed to stop a blast from Ristle and Bishin and it gave Harry courage to stand up against his former friends.
Harry vs. Ristle - here's another good counterpart-evil counterpart faceoff I wanted to see...
Harry transforms into his monstrous state, not to fight, but to prove a point. Harry accepts himself, and wants Ristle and Bishin to do the same as well. He is able to talk Ristle around, but Bishin doesn’t quite get it.
The Harrybeast
Instead Ristle was yelling with hate and grief over what has happened between the three of them. Harry makes him understand he still loves him as a big brother and as long they are alive, they can always start all over again.
Bishin transforms and grabs Ristle, telling him to beg for his life. Ristle does not, instead apologising for not being there for Bishin. With a little help from Cure Étoile, Ristle is able to talk some sense into Bishin, allowing PreCures to purify him.
He caught hold of Ristle and tried to strangle him but instead Ristle convinced the blond that he still loves Harry and Bishin as a family.
This gave the girls the chance to purify Bishin and the three hariharis finally reunited.
Ristle and Bishin are no longer a threat, but Criasu HQ is half an ocean away. Only a select few teams of PreCures can fly unaided, and the Hugtto! Cures are not one of them.

Gelos, Takumi, & Jinjin also pop up at the final stand - late for the party, as the stars they are!
Fortunately, Gelos has just the thing to get PreCures to Criasu where they can finally confront George Kurai.
They lend the Cures their aquamoto for transportation... George created more theenders on the field when Gelos and her followers arrived to give the girls a ride into the Shadowy Figure.
All the while George tries to imbue her with negative power (to make the future Cure Tomorrow become the polar opposite of her sheroic self as an adult)...
Kurai is waiting for PreCures inside Criasu HQ. He manages to cage Cure Yell, and freezes the other four to the spot.
Soon Cure Yell is caged (while the others are constricted - like why does Moon-Peach-Flora-Whip-Yell deserve any special treatment, apart from all the others who are MORE BLOODY INTERESTING?)
Étoile encased in ice
In the outside world, muggles far and wide are collapsing and unable to take the angst.
Étoile encased in ice
In the outside world, muggles far and wide are collapsing and unable to take the angst.
Tendrils wrap around the other Cures, constricting them.
Even Amour and Ma Chérie... Hold on, my girls! HANG IN THERE!!
So why is just Hana caged and my favourites turned into unconscious, comatose shrubberies? Could there be anything worse...
Oui, electrocution. That definitely answers my question.
George trapped Cure Yell in a cage and tortured the remaining four girls into all sort of attacks. Cure Yell wanted to surrender in order to save her friends (nakama) but the four girls remained her that Precures don't give up!
Kurai goes on about how he wants to save the future, and tortures four out of the five Cures by zapping them with lightning. Cure Yell can only watch helplessly, the toge-power beginning to flow. She is mere seconds away from wishing time would stop, when Ange yells that PreCure never give up.
But wait a sec... it doesn't matter if the dunce in pink told them something... they're breaking FREE and FURIOUS!!
However, Ange, Étoile, Ma Chérie and Amour have no intention of giving up. Unfortunately, things don’t go too well for them.
Even AMOUR!! (and also Ma Chérie, hopefully)
YEAAAAA, they all broke free with this great flash of lightning...
Hug-tan still keeps on shut in her prison and being infused with toge-power...
YEAAAAA, they all broke free with this great flash of lightning...
Hug-tan still keeps on shut in her prison and being infused with toge-power...
The four girls broke free with Cure Ma Chérie and Cure Amour breaking the barrier surrounding George (WELL BADASSED, MY TWIN LOVE OTP!!)...
...and even throwing THE BLOODY THRONE OFF-KILTER!!! YAAAAAY FOR TWIN LOVE!!!
...and even throwing THE BLOODY THRONE OFF-KILTER!!! YAAAAAY FOR TWIN LOVE!!!
...while Cure Ange and Cure Étoile breaking the steel bars of Cure Yell's cage. With enough willpower, they succeed!
The girls break free from the trees, with Ange and Étoile attempting to break the cage that has trapped Cure Yell whilst Ma Chérie and Amour try to break through the barrier protecting Kurai. Cure Yell is freed and the barrier is broken, but the four girls are cast into a pit. As they fall, they offer Cure Yell their support.
Now I can see the formula is INVERTED!! I LUV that these two set themselves free and lunged at their opponent like that, fittingly since Lulu-Amour and Emiru-Ma Chérie are my favourite Cures for this series!
Cure Yell is the only one left who is able to face Kurai. He transports them to a field full of goldenrod or craspedia – a flower which means ‘eternity’. Unfortunately, this is where the episode ends. Going to have to wait until next time to see how the fight against Kurai plays out.
GASP!! The defectors are all crushed, lying senseless face down on the ground...
...and Amour, Ma Chérie, Ange, and Étoile have fallen deep into the abyss...
As expected with the final battle, it was action all the way! With reformed characters by Papple and company to aid the girls and a final resolution between Harry, Ristle, and Bishin. Although I felt Ristle and Bishin's change of heart was a bit rushed but since we only have 2 more episodes left (the finale finale plus the passing of the torch), Toei just threw whatever things they can stick to resolve their conflict.
But the final battle with George was brutal as we finally get to see how George is capable of handling the girls since he has already dealt with Cure Tomorrow and her team in the future. I am suspecting it is the book that he was holding that is giving him his powers.
Cure Ange, Étoile, Ma Chérie. and Amour being tortured is similar to the first season of Sailormoon with the Sailor Senshi minus Sailormoon using their last ounce of strength to protect Sailormoon. (But then Cure Yell has better character than Crying Baby Sailormoon - and the Hugtto Cures don't die, unlike the Guardian Senshi!)
Even the last scene with the four Cures falling into darkness was dramatic as they now placed all their hopes on Cure Yell. With Cure Yell being the last hope, can she get through to George and save the present and the future? Until then, see you in the next episode for the final showdown!
FFFFFFFF—– THEY HAD TO END IT THERE! *ROLLS AROUND IN FRUSTRATION*
Now I don’t know about you, but I was on the edge my seat the entire episode. The moment they started preaching about the power of love, and how adults can dream too, I am sure those of us who are currently on board with the “Hana’s Tragic Future” theory, were just waiting for the bomb to be dropped. And honestly, I really thought when George said he was doing this for her, I thought he was going to reveal it then. But nah, they obviously wanted to do it in an more intimate setting, and there are still two more episodes to go! Sure it was frustrating, but hey without it, you wouldn’t have a good cliffhanger to make you tune in again next week, right?
Needless to say, I do hope they are going in this direction. I would love it to bits because it goes to show it’s not just the heroes that can be driven by the power of love, but the antagonists as well. It shows us the other side the power of love, and the extremes some people like George are willing to go. And honestly, it’s a great way to see characters who deeply believe in their own resolve and ideals clash in such a way. (On the side note: It was it didn’t go unnoticed to me how he not imprisons her so they can talk alone, but also spares her from being tortured to get his point across, by instead having her watch her friends suffer in attempt to force her to surrender).
However while I totally dig the Hana’s tragic end theory, I also can’t help but wonder if the writers are willing to go this far. So I believe it’s important to bear in mind, while George maybe in fact be Hana’s future lover, while keeping his role as an “Observer” in mind, when he says “saving you”, he is referring to the precures as a group. So it’s not just for Hana’s sake, but the group because he has witnessed them struggle in vain. I mean, when you really think about it, if they were to go take the “Hana’s Tragic End” route, it would quite dark and terribly depressing. But at the same time, this is one of the dark sides of life we have to face. Even when tragedy happens, we still have to move forward. Maybe that’s a theme they want to work with, and I would be impressed if they really decide to roll with it.
Nevertheless, whichever route they decide to go, Hana discovering George is doing this in part because he loves her as her lover from the future would a sufficient bombshell alone.
Another theory that has been bugging me since the beginning of the series (and I forgot to mention last week) was the one about Hana being Hugtan’s mother. Now while I was sold on this one for quite some time now, since the last episode the more I thought about it, the more I began to doubt it, only because there’s a couple of things that needs to be ironed out.
For starters, early on in the series, as soon as the whole future theme was brought up, I started to consider Hana was supposed to be Hugtan’s mother in the future. I didn’t and still don’t think it’s a coincidence how much these two have clicked and look so natural together, especially when she holds her. Yet despite that, my confidence shifted when we started to learn more about Hugtan’s background. And now with George’s connection to Hana thrown into the mix, I am even more uncertain about it. If Hana and George are to be lovers in the future and Hugtan is supposed to be their child, then shouldn’t Hugtan recognize him as her father then? Wouldn’t she regard to him as such? And vice versa? Unless there’s the another twist involved with the relationship, and Hugtan’s isn’t George’s child by perhaps from a previous relationship— but I highly doubt the series makers would want to make it that complicated. Furthermore, George continues to refer to Hugtan as simply a child who bears the power of Mother, which he needs in order to erase the future. So that’s why my confidence in this theory dropped from a 95% to 50% over the course of the week. We’ll have to see how it plays out.
Regardless, I’m probably thinking too much about this hahahahahaha.
LOOK AT WHAT LAST WEEK’S EPISODE DONE TO ME!!!!!
LOOK AT WHAT LAST WEEK’S EPISODE DONE TO ME!!!!!
Theories sides, it really goes without saying this episode was absolutely spectacular when it came to the fights, especially the animation. Goodness it was gorgeous. It was cool to see the former Criasu employees come together to aid the precure, except for Gelos and her minions. The trio only swept in at the very last minute to contribute a ride across the water. And I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who forgot she was missing until she reappeared. That’s how badly they neglected her character.
On the flipside, at least Saaya (finally) had a good episode, because goodness did she shine! I loved seeing her be so fiercely protective, being the first of them all to fight back to snap Hana out of being manipulated into surrendering. This is precisely why I have been so frustrated with the way they handled the characters in this series. Look at this girl, I always knew this had this fire within her, and yet they virtually never showed this side of her. (Being competitive against Lulu and telling Dr. Traum to hush because of the babies at the hospital doesn’t count). Justice for badass Saaya!
Bishin and Risutol also had a decent showing, albeit corny for my taste. Ristle’s love towards Bishin confused me a bit because I wasn’t entirely certain if it was family love or romantic love, but the more I think about it and the context, I think Ristle loves him as a big brother of their family (so rest assured, there is no incest involved). As for Bishin, I still think his conclusion was too rushed for my taste, but considering I’ve given up on character developments as whole, I don’t really care about it at this point, so I didn’t think too much of it.
Now all there’s left to do is wait until next week Hana is looking exceptionally beautiful in the preview! I am very excited for the fight against George.
PS: I really loved how they used the language of flowers throughout the series, I love those little touches of symbolism.
This was a good episode. I particularly enjoyed seeing defeated foes return to lend their aid to PreCures, in order to repay them for allowing them to dream again. Papple and the other former Criasu employees are great, and even Harry pulled his weight as well. It's nice to see characters besides PreCures capable of standing up against the threat of Criasu.
Then we have the set up for Cure Yell confronting George Kurai. I don’t know how that particular battle will play out, but I suspect it will involve Cure Yell helping Kurai to overcome something painful from his past. Hopefully we will get at least a bit of physical combat before it gets to that point, but we shall see.
The end is nigh; let’s hope this season or continuity can provide us with an excellent ending to live up to everything that it has offered before.
MY OWN HUMBLE OPINION
The origin of Criasu-Cryasse and George Kurai's Start of Darkness: 'Tis a pity we did not get as much backstory as expected!
Sibling dynamics: if the three hariharis really are brothers by blood, and judging by their facial features, Ristle is the firstborn (leader type, responsible, sensible), Harry is the middle one (growing up in the shade, but intelligent - also, prone to angst and philosophy), and Bishin is the youngest (accustomed to being pampered and called adorable, and thus at least a wee bit clingy).
(Anyone else notice that, in these ensemble finales of Pretty Cure continuities where the whole ensemble cast is back for the finale in a Continuity Cavalcade, I tend to make the ones I find the most relevant sing a filked version of One Day More, casting an OTP as Marius and Cosette, another fave secondary, who is usually part of another OTP, as Enjolras, and the comic relief act or Those Two Guys as the Thénardiers? PS. I already had a Valjean in Harry and a Javert in Ristle, a woobie like Éponine in Bishin, and both Henri and Masato remind me of Enj... guess whom Papple and Daigan got to play here?). But seeing how everyone was curbstomped, with my male OTP frozen in time and the defectors brutally crushed, I decided to let that be.
