TSQ-IV by Overly Sarcastic Productions

So yesterday Overly Sarcastic Productions came up with this summary for The Snow Queen and I skipped over to the Fourth Story and OH MY GODDESS!! The summary of the chapter was (chef's kiss), the character designs for the Prince and Princess were equally (chef's kiss) --blame his cravat and her cleavage and his green eyes and her red hair and the books around her throne and the fact that both were described as intellectual!!!--- not only that but I ABSOLUTELY HAD TO POST THAT ON THIS BLOG!! I got wet in my knickers with excitement and all...

... a competition for the local princess's hand in marriage - the princess is a bit of an intellectual, see, but she's also really bored and she wants to get herself a husband who's actually interesting, so she summoned all the handsome eligible dudes in the land for a little tea and conversation.

All of them ended up disappontingly flustered except for one spunky ragged youngster who strolled into the palace totally unfazed and is genuinely more interested in intellectual conversation than he is in marrying the princess.

...into the castle with the help of ... girlfriend who lives in the palace.

... the princess and her new prince - ...

... explains the mishap to the prince and princess, who handle the whole breaking-and-entering thing very graciously, all things considered. They get ... a good night's sleep and reward ... for their kindness by giving them official court positions, which is hilarious.

..., ... they give ... warm winter clothes, lots of food, a solid gold carriage, and a crew to drive ... around in it. Very nice! 

But if you think a solid gold carriage might be a bit dangerously ostentatious and potentially attract some attention, congrats, you've put that together faster than either of these very intellectual royals.

The minute ... reaches the woods ...'s immediately jumped by a gang of bandits who kill all the attendants, steal the carriage ...

(No mention of their honeymoon in foreign lands at the end)
