NO VALDIS FOR A WEEK...

A week without Lady Valdis has given me abstinence syndrome...
While waiting for Thursday's reentrée, how about a peek at Chateau Valdis and its garrison (the notorious Dragon Lady's personal army/bodyguard)?

My own fanonical musings:

• Architecture: Chateau Valdis is modelled upon Läckö, in Sweden, within my own EAH 'verse

Within the Ringstetten Saga, Gerhard's visit to Queen Christina takes place here at Läckö...

• Guards' uniforms: look pretty 1910s French in the Elle version? So they do within my own!
• Interior design: nice Viking/Art Nouveau touch, to pay heed to in my own 'verse. Though I also have more extreme Art Nouveau, think Gaudi, with Viking and Baroque touches. Nice detail, that dragon tapestry! 
• The captain/commanding officer and Svetla: he feels sorry for her and will surely tell Markus. The true heroine always defeats the false heroine/anti-heroine. And, in my first EAH fanfic, Katla does not want that, but rather to break the family tradition of jilts and heartbreaks and surrenders... openly defying her destiny on Legacy Day!
