I freaking love Mylène Farmer. A French singer who loves to play action heroines of costume drama.

The Libertine video clips, set against the backdrop of the Seven Years' War (eighteenth century), are a true epic production: the longest and most expensive ones in French history.
The first one has Libertine attending a feast at a château and enjoying herself. The second one has her come across a regiment of stray redcoats, saving a child drummer from his cruel yet dashing commanding officer.
Epic, indeed. Lovely costumes, characters, and a plot that hooks us. A great heroine and a villainess to match, not to speak of the supporting cast. Or the soirées, or the battles...
