This is my second post with Othello art...
A Tudor dollmaker dreamcast with her original characters:
6 of my OCs, cast as the 6 major roles in Shakespeare's Othello. From left to right: Erik Mulheim as Othello, Kristy Hutcherson as Desdemona, Ryan Karim as Emilia, Vacian Bettany as Iago, Robin Wood-Loredan as Cassio, Rafael Hernández as Roderigo.
From left to right: Ben Worthley as Othello, Morgan McCulloch as Desdemona, Paul Deschaliae as Iago, Raven Thurman as Emilia, Mark McConnell as Cassio, Bobby Ruse as Roderigo.
From left to right: Craven Vorzhenitso as Othello, Elsa Mulheim as Desdemona, Tristen Bettany as Iago, Serena Aldimer as Emilia, Max Kaspar as Cassio, Armani Tadeo as Roderigo.
Dramatis personae. Cassio is the blond one, Roderigo the naive dark-haired one, Iago the sneaky dark-haired one in the Henry VIII bonnet and chain... You know the other three.
Liberal as the North:
Emilia speaking for what is true.
HEAR ME ROAR!
Shakes-Peer Pressure... an inebriated (and soon to be demoted) lieutenant... XD
A female Iago... hehe...
This is one of my favorite scenes of Othello... Amidst all of the lying, trickery, and miscommunication going on in the play, here's a moment where two women take a quiet moment to speak to one another heart to heart. I'm not too pleased with some of the colors in this, since I completely failed to plan out what colors I wanted beforehand, but I'm rather happy with how it turned out.
I tried to emphasize the fact that Desdemona and Emilia are dramatic foils through their character designs: Desdemona is wide-eyed, rounded, and fair-haired; whilst Emilia is narrow, angular, and a curly brunette.
