At the age of eighteen, when Tim Burton's Alice was in vogue, I freely translated "Jabberwocky" into Swedish.
I am especially proud of how the "frumious Bandersnatch" became the phonetically dantesque "vrede Vrakmadrass" ("Irate Wreck-Mattress") in my rendition, that included veiled shout-outs to both Bellman and Karl Gerhard.
