Finally we have come to discussing Grantaire's role in this AU!! We already gave the basics on him and the geas that affects him (die if he confesses to Enjolras), but now we'll discuss his fey mien and so forth.
For starters, R is a satyr wylder hailing from Marseille (in the duchy of the Sapphire Seas, like Enjolras and most of the other Amis), although he's lived in Paris for about three or four years as a bohemian.
Having hooves in his fey mien lends his kicks as savateur some really serious power - also in his fey mien he has tiny corkscrew horns (somewhere in between wild ram and corkscrew goat) that he keeps hidden beneath his green beret. The stubble on the edges of his face also grows wild and tapers into a goatee at the end of his chin.
An alternate Grantaire could be a clurichaun, dark Celtic being a rare phenotype but still one that exists (think Jamie Fraser or Colin Farrell); but that would be at odds with R's Mediterranean heritage.
