Raised by his eccentric maternal grandparents and sourpuss maiden aunt, and knowing nothing about his father's family, Marius had led a sheltered ordinary life in high society until he began to research on the elusive Colonel Pontmercy and found himself down the rabbit hole of discovering he was a sidhe kinain of House Beaumayn on his father's side... - at the time he fled the Gillenormand estate, disowned for knowing too much, as a wylder kinain and met cat-pooka Courfeyrac (oh, look here, a Russian Blue cat in a suit and top hat! - hey, the cat in a suit became a person, who looks suspiciously like my senior... wtf?) he was prepared for anything and ready to learn as much about this brave new world as possible, starting with his own heritage that gave him those pronounced cheekbones and blue-green eyes flecked with gold. So his university senpai became the young bohemian translator's guide to the fae world and cantrip instructor.
Ever since he met fellow sidhe kinain Cosette Fauchelevent, his life has taken a U-turn, as he needs to balance his love life, work as a translator, and role in Les Amis as a link between the motley/freehold and the outside, mortal world. A delicate balancing act, but his new found family encourages Marius that he can make it through.
